My Journey into the YouTube and Game Industries… Month 67
Hi Guys
Here is the update for the last the month!
Firstly I need to apologize as I am late this month.
More on this later on…
This article is gonna be very long!! A lot has happened this month…
04/03/24 — I received some lovely comments on the last article, which are as follows:
I’d like to thank the commenters. Thanks to these readers, I know you’re reading about my efforts. I genuinely appreciate you.
Weekly recap:
06/03/24 — just finished creating this:
It’s for the video watermark:
Update:
Yesterday, I sent an email to a game developer requesting a Steam key. Here’s the email:
No response as of yet, but I hope that everything goes well and will inform you on this later.
(update: 05/04/24 — I did not receive an email back yet. I doubt I will receive an email.)
Today, we reached a milestone:
Just passed 2900 with a total of 2904 valid watch hours.
Now, just 96 watch hours are required to enter the first milestone of YPP.
07/03/24 — So, this is an update for yesterday. I sent an email to another YouTuber asking if I could use their professional-looking thumbnails for my walkthrough videos. I could modify them to fit my channel’s needs.
Here is the email:
Hi Assassin’s Creed Series
hope this email finds you well
On a few of my videos, I would want to use your thumbnails. Only the walkthrough video thumbnails will be utilized, and I will identify which section of my video each thumbnail represents because I will be altering some of it as I go along. Since I have a very tiny channel, I want to utilize your excellent thumbnails to help me develop. I will give you credit for the image in the description.
I will credit the thumbnail to you in the description.
I hope that you can help me…
here is the video of thumbnail I like to use:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TY9AC3E5JVI
kind regards
Ashmir
His reply:
I’m sorry but no, I cannot grant you the permission to use my work for your videos. Growing a channel also means finding your style and stick with that, not copying or stealing other people’s work and ideas.
Thanks for asking before acting.
Alex
My reply back:
Hi Alex
Thank you so much for getting back to me
I will take your words to heart and will do better!!
I will find my style… Thanks for the email you have made me think about this and I have a few idea on the style.
I hope the best for you.
Thanks
Ashmir
I therefore considered my style after reading this email, and I have some ideas on what I should do. I’ve been considering keeping it basic and more in line with The RadBrad’s YouTube design.
This is how I’ve been doing it so far, but it’s not as professional. However, The RadBrad, one of the biggest YouTube channels for gaming and walkthroughs, has been doing the same thing, so I suppose keeping things simple is the best course of action and saves a ton of time compared to having to create much more professional thumbnails.
10:49 — I have just made a new pinned comment:
Pls consider subscribing by clicking the link below, leaving a comment (even a simple hi), giving this video a thumbs up, and even forwarding it to your friends if you have liked it.
Clicking the link will direct you to my channel and it will ask whether you would like to become a subscriber.
More on this later on…
09/03/24 — Well, I was able to speed up my workflow a little today by implementing a key press that would launch my applications more quickly and with the right file type. Here’s an example of what I mean.
For instance, I used the left alt key, left Ctrl key, and the 9 key on the number pad. Then, these keys are linked to a G key on my keyboard — in my case, G7. Upon pressing, the “Gimp” application will launch with the appropriate thumbnail that requires editing.
I can alter the video thumbnail by using the gimp application with the appropriate file type when I hit the G7 key to activate the feature.
I hope you were able to understand this example.
11/03/24: Well, today marked the first YPP milestone!
YEAH!!
Just hit apply and here is what comes up:
Going to start step 1 now:
Step 1 is done:
Compared to what I had expected, this was much easier.
Step 2:
Creating an AdSense account:
Step 2 is now in progress:
Will update when it becomes available.
19:26 — update on step 2:
And now onto step 3:
Step 3 is being worked on; I will update on this when it is available.
12/03/24 —
Weekly recap:
And step 3 is done:
I’ve reached my first milestone in YPP.
I have to finish setting this up:
And for the next milestone:
My email from YPP:
13:03 — I’ve been researching memberships and supers through the YouTube links I was shown. I need to grasp and put a lot of the new information into practice in order to make the most of the membership and supers tabs’ potential to maximize revenue.
Supers will be my first choice because it needs far less labor to get up and running.
I simply need to agree to the terms and conditions.
And it’s on:
I had no idea that this would be so simple!
I’ll take care of the membership next; hopefully, everything will proceed as planned.
I will start to work on this:
Starting with:
“Set up your memberships offer”
Update: Building this membership will take about 2 to 3 weeks.
15/03/24 — Update from the 12/03/24 to 15/03/24:
Since there was no water here on the 12th, I went to my parents’ house; I didn’t return to my residence until yesterday evening on the 14th.
Thus, the following developments have occurred in the earn tab:
A shopping page has been introduced, enabling me to set up my Merch store on YouTube. I’ve been waiting for this, as some of you may know. I have merchandise, but I don’t have anywhere to display it, so let’s hope it gains some traction on YouTube.
Here is a link to the Merch store:
I now have to configure the YouTube connection leading to the Merch store.
It shouldn’t take too long, so I believe I’ll just go ahead and do it. That way, I won’t have as much work to do in the coming days.
It’s done!
Here a link to the YouTube Store tab:
16/03/24 — The objective is to attempt to complete some of the membership steps. I have attempted to come up with some ideas for the membership section, but I haven’t really come up with anything just yet.
I’ve chosen to take advantage of the following today:
As you can see, there aren’t any emojis yet. As for the badges, I’m simply using the standard 1 until I can think of something.
The whole features section is left enabled. And that’s all I have planned for today. (besides uploading videos)
17/03/24 -I made the decision to reconsider these badges, and this is what I came up with:
Here they are. Hope you like them.
This update will be a game changer, as Rennes gaming will give me some of the best advice for a YouTube creator could ever receive.
(These emails are informal.)
I like to thank this YouTube creator (Rennes Gaming). As he has helped me a great deal!!
Here is a link to his channel:
If you enjoy god of war videos you should really go check out his YouTube Channel!!
18/03/24 — E-mail update:
An email from Rennes Gaming:
His reply:
Hi There,
I had some time and was reviewing my older videos and information and saw your email again.
May I ask, what exactly are you aiming for on Youtube?
This is the email I sent him:
My response:
Hey
Thanks for the email
Well the Ultimate goal is to make money from youtube as every1 does…
my goal right now is to get the milestone so that i can get into YPP
and once i have money coming on i want to grow a small community around my content and work towards growing it Further. as of right now i have no further goals there after as there is no point to that right now
as for videos on youtube my goal is to make walkthroughs for gaming mostly… there is however a lot i still need to do make my own style that ppl will like to watch… like doing lives and there is still a lot for me to learn
if i may ask if u can give me any input i would really appreciate it
I had asked another youtuber and he said i need my own style i have some idea of that a simple style that i have come up with but there is still a lot for me to do to get this style right so i guess i just needs more time to refine the style too…
may i ask why do u ask??
I like to say that youtube is not my life goal thou there is something more i like to Strive for but i will not go into that here…
well hope u doing well
ashmir
His response:
Alright I understand. Yes the goal is of course to be able to make money on youtube and aim to have it as a full time or an extra source of income.
Moving forward, Yes you need to have your own style of content that is specifically to you BUT it also needs to be something that other people watching can enjoy. However there are a few things I would like to add, Advice (so to speak).
If you can take constructive criticism here it is:
1. You have the right idea in being consistent in your uploads and posts, But you are doing it too frequently. You Need To Slow Down.
2. Yes you need to have your own style and upload what you like playing, But you need to cater to what your audience’s game enjoyments are.
3. The games you choose to play (honestly) need to be trending or atleast have a huge fan base that people who go searching for it can find you.
4. I would recommend doing some editing on your videos, for instance with mine I try to tell a story and show clips to portray that. (I was doing that the whole time but then my sister told me to add some background music like another channel called (BTAtreus) was doing and when I did all my videos took off).
5. Do some research and see what most of your subscribers like watching or find something that you can build an audience around. (I recommend watching the channel called (VIDIQ). I paid attention to their lessons and they were correct. (mostly)
Ultimately for me, I’m glad you are trying and you are doing things many people aren’t attempting mostly because of fear. You don’t have to accept my advice but I’d say I’ll give it because I never had someone tell me any of these things when I started.
The uncomfortable part of my advice to you that you may not accept (AND HONESTLY YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO). Will be to delete most of all your videos that you have there or unlist them. You have WAY TOO MANY VIDEOS uploaded in a short time, the algorithm cannot find an audience to send it to because you are flooding your channel with them. And honestly the videos aren’t something people are searching for. STOP RUSHING PLEASE, it takes Time and Planning. This (your channel) Has To Be Taken As A Business, Selling Something (enjoyable content) To An Audience. And There Are Alot Of Competition Out There! (my channel included) That Are Trying To Do The Same.
When You Do Manage To Cross 1000 Subscribers And The 4000 Watch Hours Or 10 Million Shorts Views. Youtube’s Team Are Going To Review Your Channel To See If It (Qualifies) To Be In The YPP Program. So They Are Going To Watch If You Have An Audience Watching Your Content, If The Content Is Something That Will Keep People On Youtube Longer. And If It Will Be Worth Giving You The Option To Have Ads Running To Make Money.
I’m not saying this to scare you but I do want you to plan ahead and be prepared because IT WILL SUCK if you continue to try and finally achieve it and they decline you from joining, which if you look it up has happened to people.
Do some editing on your videos, find at least one type of game and build an audience from there, people do not know who you are yet and they won’t if you keep moving in this direction. I am by no means an expert or popular but my channel is growing way more than I ever dreamed and all I wanted to do is see IF I can pass 1000 subscribers by the end of 2023 and also IF it was possible to maybe get monetized. From listening to (VIDIQ) and learning with each edit (And Of Course Praying) lol I blew that goal out the park by November 2023.
HEY I KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS!!! YOU CAN MESSAGE ME WHENEVER YOU LIKE AND WE CAN TALK OK?.
I may not always be able to respond immediately because of work and school, but I will respond.
All The Best.
Here is the email I wrote him:
wow…

Ashmir
His response:
No Problem My Friend. I look forward to it.
Till Then.
This email has a lot of implications, therefore I need to put it into practice and figure out new strategies for producing my content with less work on my part… less time means less effort and more productivity.
- I can see that I do need to slow down a little bit, as he points out in his first point, which is that I upload frequently.
- He discusses the Audience. Here, I can agree with him since I still need to figure out what my audience finds entertaining.
- It’s true that I should play games that are popular if I want the audience to find me, so yeah, he makes sense.
- He suggests that I edit my video more, but I’m not sure how to do it; I will seek for more advice on this from him. (More Context: I’m not sure what I should do in the video to improve it.)
- His criticism here is about doing more research watching VIDIQ and doing their lesson, all of which I will do going forward.
My most recent email to him:
My response:
hi
Here are my questions for you:
Your criticism:
1. You have the right idea in being consistent in your uploads and posts, But you are doing it too frequently. You Need To Slow Down.
My question:
1. I can understand that and will be taking this advice my question is though:
Is it possible to upload like 30 uploads a day for different games, will that still work as you had said that I am uploading to many videos at very short Intervals, but with different uploads for different games like walkthroughs I’m sure people that watch will like to see what happens next… Any advice on this will help a lot…
Your criticism:
2. Yes you need to have your own style and upload what you like playing, But you need to cater to what your audience’s game enjoyments are.
My question:
2 I fully understand what you mean here… I’m still trying to find what my audience likes to watch, some are into racing games others into RPGs games.
how do u balance them all?? Also the games I am playing are games I own. I don’t want to play games I have to buy… I like to add that these games are for walkthroughs so once they are done it will be on the channel and so those videos can get new audiences over time. I will not need to go back to those games again if you understand what I mean.
If you have any advice on this I will take it to heart also…
Your criticism:
3. The games you choose to play (honestly) need to be trending or atleast have a huge fan base that people who go searching for it can find you.
3.Yeah I had expected this also trending games help a lot to be found on youtbe… As I had thought about this I will be playing Assassin’s Creed games for the next few months coming as there is a rather large following fan base that keep watching it. As I like not to spend money buying new games.
But if you have any advice on this it will help, thanks.
Your criticism:
4. I would recommend doing some editing on your videos, for instance with mine I try to tell a story and show clips to portray that. (I was doing that the whole time but then my sister told me to add some background music like another channel called (BTAtreus) was doing and when I did all my videos took off).
4. I need advice on this… like how to edit or even some ideas as I’m a little lost with this man. I do know how to edit videos, just no real idea on what I should or how I should go about it…
Any help on this will go a long way.
Your criticism:
5. Do some research and see what most of your subscribers like watching or find something that you can build an audience around. (I recommend watching the channel called (VIDIQ). I paid attention to their lessons and they were correct. (mostly)
5. Thanks I have done some research and have noticed my audience thus far have been more into walkthroughs for God Of War… however I ran into a problem with recording it… I do know of VIDIQ. I will watch more of their videos in the future and will do more of their lessons.
Thanks for this advice.
“Ultimately for me, I’m glad you are trying and you are doing things many people aren’t attempting mostly because of fear. You don’t have to accept my advice but I’d say I’ll give it because I never had someone tell me any of these things when I started.”
“I’m glad you are trying and you are doing things many people aren’t attempting mostly because of fear.” Funny I have a lot of fear of my content but I just do it coz if I don’t I won’t know if it could have worked.
“The uncomfortable part of my advice to you that you may not accept (AND HONESTLY YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO). Will be to delete most of all your videos that you have there or unlist them. I get what you’re saying… I will not follow this part of your advice but will change the way I now upload the videos… more of Compilation of videos for an eg. 1 video with all the kills instead of many videos… Will this work better?? I like your advice on this… I could give that a try and see if there are people that will like to watch it if you think it is worth a shot…

Well I got to say thanks for looking out for me I get what you mean…
Thanks for this message. It means alot for you to send this man!!
“Do some editing on your videos”
I really like you explain this more to me… how should I edit these videos. How can I get them to looks more like this video you had made:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/izjQjtmKC9k
This I would say is really my weak point, and I would like some help on this.
Thanks
Ashmir.
19/03/24 — new information regarding email:
His response:
Ok to answer your first question,
1.Is it possible to upload like 30 uploads a day for different games,?
Answer- It is possible BUT you will still be in that same bracket of TOO MANY uploads. Seriously the algorithm needs to send each of your videos out to people to view and then see if it’s worth sending to more. Having 30 uploads in one day is madness honestly you won’t reach anywhere at all, you need to slow down and by slow down i mean stop.
Look at this video from VidIq: https://youtu.be/t3-BTSmHwvs?si=i-ZYxF1rjLzJI1vP | It explains exactly what I am talking about with regards to uploading too frequently.
2. I fully understand what you mean here… I’m still trying to find what my audience likes to watch, some are into racing games others into RPGs games.
how do u balance them all??
Answer- You cannot. Sorry I’m not trying to hinder you but realistically, between a video you upload about (lets say Final Fantasy) and a video “Gameclips” or “TheRadBrad” uploads about it. People are going to search and find their videos a lot more than yours. Your video will need to have a good thumbnail, the resolution/quality will need to be 1080 or more, the gameplay will need to be clean and you will need to know what you are doing. Remember You Need To Build An Audience First. You Need To Find Your Niche And Then Stick To What Works. Honestly If You Want This To Work You Need To Change Everything Up.
3,4 & 5 is kind of self explanatory you need to the VidIq lessons especially the link I sent there and editing is honestly very easy to do, my laptop is a work of office laptop meaning its only meant for microsoft word etc, but i didn’t have enough money for a proper laptop so i got this because it has a play store and Capcut is available to work on it. Download Capcut and start making Youtube Shorts, use clips from a popular game, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO OWN THE GAME!!! Literally go on Youtube and find a popular game and search for “All Cutscenes” download it and start making youtube shorts from the clips.
For example: The only God Of War Games I Own Are: God Of War 2018 & God Of War Ragnarok, that’s why in the description i put all clips gameplay edit from GOW 2018 and Ragnarok are recorded from my PS4. I do not own a PS5 yet. All the other clips you see i use from God Of War 1, 2, 3 And Ascension etc are the full cutscenes from one of those bigger youtubers i downloaded and made short clips of. Its completely Fair Use because I have my own Gaming Logo on it, I added some background music and i’m telling a story.
This link here: https://youtu.be/w1Fma5kuhes?si=HMYzoiHiqM_QrRFM ← — that is the God Of War 3 cutscene video i download and turned into clips. All of my shorts that have Millions Of Views was from that one video I downloaded.
For Example If you go on my channel, Click on Shorts and select “Most Popular” the videos you see with 5.2M views, 3M views, 2.1M views ARE ALL CLIPS FROM THAT LINK I SENT YOU, If you want to have views like that start doing research and see how it can work for you.
Listen atleast try the editing with Youtube Shorts find a long gameplay video that just have cutscenes on it and start doing clips with some background music, Build Your Audience First! Then continue with your long form video uploads. I Have No Idea Because Even I Don’t Know What I’m Going To Do With My Long Form Videos Yet. My channel mostly got monetized because of Youtube Shorts. I may save up and buy a PS5 later in the upcoming months and make a second Youtube channel for the newer games or something.
Start A New Channel If You Want An Build Your Audience From Scratch By Making Shorts People Can Just Enjoy Watching But You Need To Change Something Youtube Won’t Recommend Your Videos If You Keep Uploading So Frequently. That’s The Harsh Reality.
Good Luck, I Look Forward To Seeing What You Try.
My response:
Hey Rennes
I am going to keep the following email a lil more Informal, as more formal emails take more time to write out.
Thanks for the email back… this 1 was a bit hard to read but it’s cool.
1. I watched the video and I got what he was saying about it… I will be taking it much easier in the future… I would like to mention that I like to try a test later on for game walkthroughs as I like to see the outcome. I will inform you about this test via email at the date when I do the test.
2. yeah i get you, my thumbnails are at 1080p however not the very best in terms of what they look like I will try to get better with this as time goes on as i had said in the Previous E mail about my style this is something i have been thinking about.
so the next thing i got to ask u about…
the editing part thanks for letting me know the software that u use…
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO OWN THE GAME!!! nice advice…
Literally go on Youtube and find a popular game and search for “All Cutscenes” download it and start making youtube shorts from the clips.
cool i can do all of this…
the part what i really want to understand is how do i take a normal video from a cutscene and make it into this:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/izjQjtmKC9k
Can you show me your workflow to use capcut from the point u Import the video file to the finished product that is where i am really lost…
the editing software I use is Davinci resolve.
i have already downloaded capcut…
I would like to add that my channel has been monetized to the 1st milestone, meaning I’m in the 1st YPP already. I just need to get to the 2nd milestone then it will be fully monetized…
I’ll continue to use this youtube channel and try to grow it from here. Just change things around on how it’s done.
I will use the advice you have given me… I will Start to implement it very soon.
I just need help to understand the workflow. I can Figure out how to use capcut that’s no issue.
I just need to know how to turn a normal video to a finished product (a video that you make), that’s where I’m really lost if you can show me that I can make my own style of videos.
Thanks
ashmir
22/03/24 — New record achieved:
The channel has already received 550000 views.
Further details on the membership
Been busy with “Announce your memberships”
It’s done.
Now occupied with creating membership tiers:
This is only a draft; I’ll be changing it later, but for now, it’s a decent place to start.
However, I’ve saved this and I’ll attempt to finish more of it daily.
Email update:
His response:
Ok Great.
To your question regarding how to do the edit, I am not sure how good it’s going to be by typing this out but I’ll try.
On Capcut, Import the clip you want to use…..put the video on the editing track…..look for the part you want to edit….. for example:
https://youtu.be/oAbgupKMUk0?si=vVJPJeSC2-EV1Bha ← — that video is when Kratos Meets Baldur….you add that video on the track….”split” or “cut” the video From the 50secs To 1:45 secs mark and use the part in between up until maybe either 40sec or 50sec.
MEANING- (if you watch the video) you start (Your Clip) from when Kratos opens the door and end the clip right as Baldur says “Like A Coward”.
That is close to 50seconds or a minute…..using Capcut at the bottom of the video playback screen…. (that is where you can see the video you’re editing) you will see “Ratio” click on that and select (9:16) …..after you do that the video screen will shrink….click one the video in the editing track and on the “right side” of the playback screen you will see options to change the videos format….go to where it says (Scale) that will be on 100 at all times….once you selected the 9:16 ratio increase the scale to 170 or 180 or even 200….those are the ranges i use….when you do that the video will be the correct size to be viewed on a phone. (Which is where mostly everyone watches Youtube Shorts)
If you scroll to the bottom of that format screen (once you are still selected on the video)….all the way to the bottom you will see (canvas) click on that…..click the drop down arrow…you will see (blur) if you select that it blurs the top and bottom of the video you are using….make sure the audio can be heard loud enough….add some background music….make sure that volume is good enough where you can still here the video and then export from there…rewatch the video you created and start your editing to change up whatever you want to…That Is The Basics Of It…From There You Just Need Experience In Everything You Try To Add Extra.
Do Not Upload Your Video Until YOU KNOW It’s Something Someone Will Enjoy Watching….I Can’t Tell You Want Videos To Use Etc….That Will Be For You To Decide. Read Through What I Said And Just Look For The Points….Watch My Videos And Try To Grasp What I’m Doing…OR HELL Look For The Clips i Used And Edit Your Own Video Like That Try And See What Work Ok???
Good Luck.
I’m going to do this today.
After I finish editing the video, I will provide you with an update on this.
I was able to get the video done however the video cannot be viewed on this platform (medium).

I have also made a video however i like to add more to it such as text and a few other things before i can show it to u
thanks
His response:
Ok Sure,
On the “Top Left” you will see “Text” Just click on that and drag the (default text) option to the edit bar and then enter the words you want to use.
Or
On the “Top Left” again you will see the “Text” icon again and the first option will say “Auto Caption” click “add” select “English” as the option or any other language you choose and let everything load and after its finish just align the words on the screen.
My response:

any other advice on editing would be Highly appreciated
thanks
pls find find attached file that is my video editing with your tutorial…
thanks for helping the video looks so much better now…
thanks
His response:
Well Bloody Done!!!
That’s It There For Sure. As To The Sound….just go on tiktok or other youtube shorts and listen to the sounds people use.
Start creating a folder for just those background sounds, the audio you have playing there is ok-ish but not really ideal for God Of War. You will be protected by the “Shorts Policy” when it comes to using music or audios from popular artists so experiment and find out what works best for you.
The better background sounds are mostly called “instrumentals”. But again you have everything right there in that video. Start downloading the full clips start editing them, start creating folders with each of your clips you are using.
MEANING- you download a large clip thats 30mins or an hour, Go into Capcut and export only the part of the clip you want. Like in one folder you have “Baldur Calls Kratos A Coward.” Or “Baldur Regenerates His Health.” Or “Kratos And Atreus Fight Thor Sons”. Whatever clips there are. Instead of having that one large downloaded video, start making your folders and separating those different moments so when you need to come back and get a piece of the clip or make a bigger edit you will know where to go just to get them.
Start Planning Now. And Honestly remove the previous videos you have and start clean with these new edits. At the end of the edit put “Like & Subscribe”
ONLY AT THE END NOT THE BEGINNING OR MIDDLE! Give the audience a show first then ask them as the video is ending. Look at my older shorts and you will see what I Mean.
And to answer your question about the emojis…..when I upload a short I do it from my phone so on Youtube itself an take the time and add the emojis there and line them up with the captions I placed on the screen….it’s very long and tiring my i like it better because their designs pop on the video better that just have a picture of it from capcut itself.
Good Luck! That Video Is On The Right Track! Do More And Dont Stop!
Plan Plan Plan
For now, it concludes the emails; more will come. For now, it concludes the emails; more will come.
Regarding the number of subscribers, it has been increasing for the obvious reason: since I stopped publishing after taking Renne’s advise, the videos on my channel have begun to get viewer ship once again and new subscribers are joining.
I’m grateful to Rennes for this great suggestion; I never would have tried it since I never would have anticipated the sub count to increase. I’ve also been able to start producing some excellent videos (shorts) because of Renne’s advice. Though I believe I now have a firm grasp on it, I still have a lot to learn and understand.

I have already started changing some of the videos but I have yet to upload them. There are a lot of videos that i have yet to upload but you will see them as i upload them. I will be starting soon on the ideas that you have given me so far.

Capcut is a far easier software to use thanks for showing how it works… i like to also say that even thou capcut is an easier software to use i will still use Divinci resolve for my main work flow as it is a far more powerful and Capable software than capcut but i will be Integrating capcut into my new work flow for shorts (mostly)

Excellent.
Good luck on your next journey my friend. I’m Sure Everything Will Turn Out Great. As For The Long Form Contents It’s Fine.
I appreciate you offering to help but I believe I will leave this channel for mostly shorts and create a second youtube channel about God Of War with a completely different name and design to how i’m doing my video here. No one will know both are my accounts, God Of War has a huge fan base and I know I could monetize another channel now that I know what works also when I buy my Ps5 later this year I’ll have a 3r channel for just those Ps5 games.
I’m already monetized and know how to achieve these things, so i’m gonna go plan my next steps also. There’s a lot of work to be done. And Goals I Have Set Up To Aquire.
Its Gonna Be Busy
Take Care Ashmir, You Got This!
My response:
I replied with two emojis, and I believe this is our final email correspondence till we speak again.
30/03/24 — update on the email:
My response:
hey Rennes
can you tell me more about the shorts policy u had mentioned??
thanks
He had forgotten about giving me the shorts policy.
His response is as follows:
Hi
There’s nothing much about it. You are just protected if you choose to use well known sounds or music in your short videos when compared to long form videos.
https://www.youtube.com/howyoutubeworks/policies/copyright/#copyright-exceptions ← — The 8th paragraph in that link explains it somewhat.
It’s mostly for those who are already in the YPP but just use popular music / audio in your shorts videos to get them going at a good start, then start practicing and get better with each video you create.
I had just Responded with the grin face emoji:
And that’s it for now. I won’t be posting on this until we have another interesting email conversation, at which point I will provide an update here.
Nevertheless, I have now posted a new, brief video to my YouTube channel that is more updated to resemble the guidance Rennes gave me.
Here is the link to the video:
I’m hoping you enjoy it.
In addition, I would like to mention that I will be experimenting with new ideas and taking a somewhat different approach to this, all while heeding Rennes’ advice. I’ll follow Rennes’ recommendations at every opportunity and determine what functions well and what doesn’t. I will also email him an update on my developments.
If the information isn’t worth posting here, it might not be shared through these articles.
02/04/24 — Membership updates:
I’ve got everything all setup and prepared to submit it for approval. I hope everything goes smoothly.
Posting to the community tab:
Posting to welcome new members.
So, starting with this article, only members will have access to the links.
This will be the first and last time I post to this website about what I have handed out to the members since it would be unfair to them. It will undermine the intended purpose of the membership-only post.
And so now it’s time to activate memberships!!
Membership is now live!!!
This is the current layout of the membership area (Tier Two); now new members just need to sign up.
Now Normally, I begin with the article, but there’s a glitch.
The information has not been updated yet, therefore I won’t be able to submit this article until I obtain the information for March 31. Until then, I’ll have to be late for this one.
This is the reason I have not been able to update you on the 2nd as I always do.
Regarding pinned comments, Renne Gaming informed me that it is not a good idea to continue with them, thus they will no longer appear in my videos.

Access to these articles on Tier One has been added.
These items are now accessible on Tier Two.
More will become available for both tiers in the future when new tiers are added.
03/04/24 — Managed to complete the recording’s settings. They are for 4K, but without HDR, it’s just regular SDR. This is because I’m using DaVinci’s Resolve, and the free version doesn’t include HDR, so using HDR now will be a waste till I purchase a copy of DaVinci Resolve.
Currently, just 646 are required to reach the YPP’s second milestone.
Update: live streaming — Sadly, when I tested the HD live streaming, I encountered a few problems. I have come up with some solutions for these problems but have yet to test them.
Here is the stats on March:
This above graph is all about watch hours!!
Please see older article on this… Thank You!
Here is a link to it:
My Journey into the YouTube and Game Industries… Month 63
Scroll down to this point (where you can find the above graph)
February goal was 3344 hours of valid public watch time. I have reach this objective and did pass it for a total of 3354 valid watch hours, with an average valid public watch hour for this month is 16.45. In addition, I completed 510 valid public watch hours.
For next month’s goal = 3854.
This goal of 3854 is a total of 500 valid watch hours for next month, there will be no stretched goals.
Subs Total 761
Less then 240 subs left to go!!! YEAH.
I did reached my goal of 760 this month.
I am going to place another goal of only 15 subs, we will see if I am able to hit this goal for next month once again.
Goal total subs = 776
With Rennes advice and help he has given me I hope to do better!!
The manner I’m working right now, I plan to post a lot more content that is different and that will help define my channel of a better quality. I’m hoping that this will cause the number of subscribers to rise once more.
Update: The projection for the 1000 sub mark will not be added any longer as I expect to do much better. Additionally, figuring it out without the right data will no longer support this estimated projection. (This will be the last article to have this update for the projection.)
My end goal is to try to get to 1000 subs before July!! This is still doable…
For this Month:
This is what I managed to achieve:
Subs : 761 (+16)
Watch time (hours) : 3354(+510) (Valid Watch Time) (Mar 31st, 2024)

“Anyway, do that and you’ll start seeing great follower growth. It’s true that a lot of those followers won’t interact with your stuff- but don’t think like it’s supposed to be everyone reading everything. That’s silly. Instead, think about it like advertising- they’re all now going to see your articles from time to time on their feed. That’s free advertising. If 10 people out of every 100 click, be that’s a 10% conversion rate. In advertising, 10% is pretty standard. Don’t think small- reach for 10,000+ followers.”
