Hi Guys

Here is the update on the last few days

I live in South Africa and there is a problem with the electricity provider (ESKOM)!!

08/15/22 — Received an e-mail Yesterday (only opened it today)…

The email was about… I have now hit the Milestone of 75 Subscribers on YouTube.

However, when I checked today I’ve lost some subscribers, it is now 71 again. That’s just the way it is…

Sharing links to the Facebook page

It’s been a very busy morning, even busier than yesterday, but will get more done this morning, than yesterday, to try to catch up on work so tomorrow is not as busy…

Got some new assets

13:35 — Just finished with the YouTube sharing on Reddit

14:36 — Starting learning:

Unit 5 — User Interface
Lesson 5.4 — What’s the Difficulty?

Well, I have Finally finished prototype (unit) 5.

Next — Challenge 5.

16/08/22 —Started with the normal days work, and my review of the new product on the Merch Store was Rejected again. So I’ve now sent them an e-mail and asked what was the reason for the rejection. I will update on this later when I get an e-mail back from them…

Sharing the Facebook page

A couple of days ago I was contacted (via Facebook) by a person that is also a content creator. So for the past few days, I have been very busy and have not had time to check out his brand, this morning, I had time to look at his brand which is vaping…more on patreon.com/SKULLpturedGaming

I have to share the infographics today, as the promo is starting tomorrow so as soon as I have some time, I will be doing sharing to all the platforms…

Been looking for new hashtags to get more noticed, but could only find 1s for Instagram, hoping that it pays off…

For the past few days, I have been chatting with The Accidental Monster via email (Private chat)

We met on medium and became fast friends. He has been advising me on how to use medium in a better and faster way.

He has told me that I should use F2F. If you know anything about The Accidental Monster then you know that he does F2F, and we've been discussing about it. I have been reluctant to join the F2F group. Even though I do look at some of the articles, I have not committed to it.

Each morning one of the main to do’s (with YouTube and Facebook) is to interact with the community on medium. To engage with this community by reading the articles and commenting, and sometimes following. However, I tried mostly to grow this account more organically, meaning that I want people to want to read my content, without needing to have F2F and F4F.

This will result in people actually, looking at my content on other platforms such as YouTube, and watching the videos I've made on that platform…

However, in my e-mail with The Accidental Monster, he showed me something that I had not thought of!!

by The Accidental Monster

“Anyway, do that and you’ll start seeing great follower growth. It’s true that a lot of those followers won’t interact with your stuff- but don’t think like it’s supposed to be everyone reading everything. That’s silly. Instead, think about it like advertising- they’re all now going to see your articles from time to time on their feed. That’s free advertising. If 10 people out of every 100 click, be that’s a 10% conversion rate. In advertising, 10% is pretty standard. Don’t think small- reach for 10,000+ followers.”

This is something he had emailed me about, however, before this my thought process was to grow it organically, as I had said before.

But if you know anything about me, this is a business. Everything I do here. It's all about business. It's all about growing the Red Head Gaming Studio (RGS) company name & brand.

So what he said is actually very true, and with Medium. We are allowed to follow anyone without any restrictions.

We can write about anything and do anything we want, within reason (within the Medium policies). To achieve the 100 followers milestone.

Unlike other platforms such as YouTube.

So we can help each other, by just following one another, and in the same way, we are also getting free advertising.

The Accidental Monster is a person every one on this platform should want to follow because of the help he is willing to give (For free).

Knowledge is power. And those who are willing to give you the knowledge should be Rewarded!!

15:05 — I have yet to start sharing YouTube, with time constraints, I won't be sharing today!!

15:33 — Just received an email from the merch store, and they have explained the reason why the Design has been rejected, “it’s semi-transparent”. I have sent an email back, asking if there is any way around this, and what the final product will look like. (Spoiler — There is no way around it)

15:38 — Going to start on the learning now

Unit 5 — User Interface
Challenge 5 — Whack-a-Food

Summary

Challenge Overview:
Put your User Interface skills to the test with this whack-a-mole-like challenge in which you have to get all the food that pops up on a grid while avoiding the skulls. You will have to debug buttons, mouse clicks, score tracking, restart sequences, and difficulty setting to get to the bottom of this one.

Challenge Outcome:

  • All of the buttons look nice with their text properly aligned
  • When you select a difficulty, the spawn rate changes accordingly
  • When you click a food, it is destroyed and the score is updated in the top-left
  • When you lose the game, a restart button appears that lets you play again

Downloading the Challenge.

Importing it into Unity — Prototype 5.

Also opening a new project called Challenge 5 in Unity

I live in South Africa and there is a problem with the electricity provider (ESKOM)!!

So as I was doing this the power went out!!

17/08/22– Started with some personal work which took the better part of the morning!!

13:22 — Starting with everyday work…

15:38 — Finished sharing the Facebook page and YouTube.

Got an email from The Accidental Monster about the method he uses for his f2f, and will be using it to help grow this a little more…

Did not do much work today, I had a lot on my plate, by the time I knew it, the day was done!!

I even took an hour break today…

I'm burnt out…

Doing so much work each day… it’s Draining.

Ran into some issues with some software I use on the PC, had to fix them before I could continue with any work!!(Still not fix correctly, but it's working)

Did not engage with the community on Medium today. I was going to use the new method from The Accidental Monster, but I ran out of time!!

15:57 — Going to start the upload of this article on medium now

From tomorrow I will be taking a brake for a few days, I’m now 100% burnt out!!!

I will still be sharing and doing my morning routine, but nothing more!!

And that’s it!!
