Hi Guys

Here is the update on the last few days

23/06/22 — Starting watching an hour live session on basic gameplay part 1 - took me more than an hour as this tutorial delves deeper into new functions. Did a few tutorials but they were to in depth and I could not understand them yet. So I had to leave them for later.

Introduction to console window.

Watch a video on the console window and realize that some of the knowledge on this topic I did not possess as of yet, and will have to return back to this learning tutorial on a later date!!

Started physics best practices — And also realized that I will have to return once I have the necessary knowledge to continue on this learning course.

Package manager. — package manager intro video. What is the package manager in where to find it?…more on patreon.com/SKULLpturedGaming (9 Steps, more on Patreon.com)

24/06/22 —(Business Day) — Merch Store — We are doing a promo on free shipping till the 28th June 22. I have shared the promo images to all social platforms to try to grow awareness, and in the hopes of people buying Merch.

— personal stuff afterwards.

25/06/22 — Personal stuff.

At 2.30pm — Started —

Getting started with materials. Creating materials with solid colors. Creating a material with a texture map. Adding in physical materials to game objects in the scene.

Next steps — Managing game objects with prefabs.

In this tutorial, I have seen how materials make game objects look visually realistic. I have also used physic materials to make a ball bounce and many other game objects bounce as well. In the next tutorial, I will see how to build & manage many copies of game objects to populate a scene.

Manage game objects with prefabs.

Overview to manage game objects with prefabs.

Summary of tutorial — In this tutorial, I'll be familiar with prefabs. I'll use prefabs to create manage many falling objects in the project. Even though I have a great understanding of prefabs. This tutorial will delve into new techniques and understanding of how to best use prefabs

I live in South Africa and there is a problem with the electricity provider (ESKOM) this is the end of the day as there was load shedding. Though I could have done much more!!!

26/06/22 — Start with one hour live session — Basic gameplay Part 2. Also shared a link to YouTube channels on Reddit to try to promote the channel and growth. By the end of this day, I had 10 new subscribers.

There will be YouTube channel promoting everyday from now on

I live in South Africa and there is a problem with the electricity provider (ESKOM) this is the end of the day as there was load shedding. Though I could have done much more!!!

There was going to be an update on Medium but with load shedding it had to be push a day back.

27/06/22 — (Today) — Start the day off with YouTube promoting.

Start learning — Creating a prefab. Creating a prefab instance. Updating prefab instance in prefab mode. Learning how to override in a prefab instance (very useful tutorial). Creating prefab variant. Nested prefabs. Adding in about 30 objects to the scene.

Next steps — In the next tutorial, I will see how to get more sophisticated game objects in my projects without having to build them from scratch.

I live in South Africa and there is a problem with the electricity provider (ESKOM) this is the end of the day as there was load shedding. Though I could have done much more!!!

And that’s it for today nothing more was accomplished, cause of time!!
